This is an old drawing I've been meaning to finish up for like two years now. Here is Teuthis all happy about a budgie she's getting. I love the shadow of the budgie. He's got to be huge but she's so happy I don't think she cares. I wonder what the budgie looks like. I love Teuthis. She's so energetic and full of life.

Hehe, I see you started this a long time ago and only now came back to finish it. I like the way you've drawn Teuthis (interesting name), as well as the colour, detail, and her clothes. I also see she's based on Squidward, and while I don't like Spongebob or any of the characters in the cartoon (no offense Des, I know you like Spongebob Squarepants), I do like how well you've drawn Teuthis.

I was wondering if you'd say anything about this. Yeah I know you don't like Spongebob we talked about that before. But I'm glad you liked Teuthis. Her name is Greek and it means Squid. Yup, Squidward is my favorite and back them I made her to be his girlfriend. I'm not as into Spongebob as I used to be but I always have a special love for my original characters. She's very different from the other characters. She's sweet, caring, full of life and adventerous....and obviously not afraid of giant budgies.

Hehe, okay. That's right, just clarifying for you. I think you drew her quite well, her name reminded me of the word Tethys (the name of an ancient, prehistoric sea that no longer exists). I see, well that's fine Des, we do often feel more attached to our own characters than existing ones. Hehehe, Teuthis sounds like a very nice and friendly Squid.

Ah yes. I know about the Tethys sea. I love reading about paleontology too. Yeah, now that I'm not into the show as much she still stands alone fine without the cast from the show. Yeah she's very nice.

Really? That's cool Des, I'm glad I'm not alone in my interest in ancient history. Yeah, I feel the same about alot of my characters, they manage without characters from the games and cartoons that inspired them.
